Daniel's Fund

Colorado Springs, CO Special Kids Special Families recently announced that it has received $25,000 from the Daniels Fund to support Zach's Place Program.

The grant will enable our program to provide services to families with children with disabilities said, Linda Ellegard, Executive Director of Special Kids Special Families. Zach's Place is a child care and respite care Center for children ages 5-21 years. Respite care gives the parents a break from the daily stressors of caring for a special needs child. Services are available before, after school, weekends and overnights. Families can access an ability to pay schedule, which makes services affordable.

The Daniel's Fund operates the Daniels Fund Scholarship Program and the Daniels Fund Grants Program in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. The Fund was established in 1997 by Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need.
