JOEY'S PLACE

 

JOEY’S PLACE is our new non-integrated day program developed especially to support adults with disabilities.

  

This program will give adults with disabilities an opportunity to learn life skills to help further their independence. Clients will learn:

Interpersonal skills: (self-advocacy; interpersonal communication; anger management; conflict resolution; self-esteem and self-confidence building, etc...)

Independent living skills: (money management; clothing care; time management; information seeking; personal health care, etc…)

Pre-employment skills: (basic work behaviors, attitudes, and habits; vocational exploration, etc...)

Health and Wellness: (physical fitness activities- including dancing, basketball, etc…)

Leisure skills: (exploration of interests—including horticulture, pottery, models, wood-working, music, etc...)

Basic workplace literacy: (reading; math; skill development)
