Ent Awards 2006 Youth Endowment Series Grants to Local Agencies Colorado Springs, Colo. (May 1, 2006) – Ent Federal Credit Union has awarded local organizations its Youth Endowment Series (YES) program grants for 2006. Introduced in 2000, the YES program directs specific support to organizations benefiting children and young people in the Pikes Peak Region. The program has provided total grants of nearly $225,000 to agencies serving education, health care, and cultural needs, among other services. This year, Special Kids Special Families was awarded $5,000. Thirty-eight local non-profit (501(c)(3)) organizations applied for the 2006 grants; applications were evaluated on their general benefit to the community, potential ability to use the Ent grant to obtain additional funds and degree of current community support, among other criteria.
