JOEY’S PLACE

New Non-Integrated Day Program

This new program will give adults with disabilities an opportunity to learn

life skills to help further their independence.

 

CLENTS WILL LEARN:

 
Interpersonal Skills:  Self-advocacy; interpersonal communication; anger management; conflict resolution; self-esteem and self-confidence building, etc...
 
Independent Living Skills Money management; clothing care; time management; information seeking; personal health care, etc…
 
Pre-employment Skills:  Basic work behaviors; attitudes, and habits; vocational exploration, etc...
 
Health and Wellness:  Physical fitness activities - including dancing, basketball, etc…
 
Leisure Skills:  Exploration of interests - including horticulture, pottery, models, wood-working, music, etc...
 
Basic Workplace Literacy:  Reading; math; skill development
